Following last year’s sold-out Functional Mastery course, Min Trevor Kyi is back with TBI and Post-Concussion Syndrome: A Research-Based Roadmap to Assessment and Treatment.

This two-day course is designed for occupational therapists, physical therapists, kinesiologists, and other health care professionals seeking to improve their skills in the realm of traumatic brain injury and post-concussion syndrome. We’ll delve into current tests and protocols to more objectively evaluate the cognitive function of an individual. Then we’ll look at how to design a research-based roadmap to recovery. Students will leave with practical tools to immediately improve the lives of their patients, and to improve their own practices.

Instructor:

Min Trevor Kyi is an occupational therapist with over 30 years of clinical and teaching experience. He is the owner and director of Kyi Rehabilitation, where he specializes in complex Functional Capacity Evaluations. Min is also a clinical professor with the UBC Faculty of Medicine, Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy and a previous recipient of the Faculty of Medicine Award for Outstanding Clinical Instructor. He has taught FCE and Advanced FCE courses to thousands of students throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Min is an active and contributing member of the North American Clinical Research Consortium (NACRC), specializing in the assessment and treatment of brain injury. He has testified as an expert witness to the Supreme Court on approximately 100 occasions in the arenas of functional capacity evaluation, brain injury, cost of future care, occupational therapy, and ergonomics.
